Description
LAB3 is one of the largest Azure engineering practices in the Australasia region with a focus on Cloud & DevOps, Data, IoT & AI, Modern Workplace, Modern Apps & Integration, Security, and Network services.
We are looking for a Principal Engineer- Cloud & DevOps, ideally based anywhere in Australia or New Zealand (but open to work AEST hours).
You'll own Azure platform and automation outcomes from design through documentation to delivery, while helping shape engineering standards, governance, and ways of working.
The role
Lead the end-to-end delivery of Azure platform and automation initiatives.Design, document and implement secure, scalable and reliable Azure solutions.Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, supported by robust CI/CD pipelines.Provision and manage AKS environments, including application deployment, microservices configuration and Helm chart management.Act as a trusted technical advisor, providing architecture and design guidance across multiple engagements.Translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders and executives.Produce high-quality engineering artefacts including solution designs, runbooks, governance documentation and change records.Partner with delivery leaders on estimation, planning and risk management.Mentor engineers, support onboarding, contribute to hiring activities and help uplift engineering capability across the team.
