Wordpress Developer

CallVix is looking for a WordPress Developer with a mix of technical, creative, and problem-solving skills to join our team on a part-time/Full time, fully remote basis. If you enjoy building WordPress websites, developing custom functionality, working with WooCommerce, maintaining website graphics, and creating engaging web animations, we’d love to hear from you! What You'll Do: Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites.Build custom WordPress plugins, themes, widgets, and functionality.Develop and customize WooCommerce and eCommerce solutions.Research modern website designs, layouts, trends, and user experiences, then implement them as responsive, user-friendly websites.Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins according to project requirements.Integrate REST APIs and third-party services.Work with WordPress hooks, actions, filters, shortcodes, custom post types, taxonomies, and AJAX.Troubleshoot and debug WordPress, plugin, theme, database, and server-related issues.Optimize websites for speed, performance, security, responsiveness, and SEO.Maintain and update website graphics, banners, icons, images, and visual assets.Create and implement smooth web animations, transitions, hover effects, and interactive elements.Ensure websites look consistent and engaging across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.Work with existing codebases and develop custom solutions when plugins cannot meet requirements. What we're Looking For: 1–2 years of hands-on WordPress development experience.Strong knowledge of WordPress and PHP.Experience with custom plugin and theme development.Good experience with WooCommerce and eCommerce development.Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.Knowledge of MySQL and WordPress database structure.Strong understanding of responsive web development.Experience with CSS/JavaScript animations and interactive web elements.Ability to maintain and optimize website graphics and visual assets.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Ability to write clean, secure, and maintainable code.Experience with Elementor or other WordPress page builders is a plus.Familiarity with Git, cPanel, hosting, DNS, and SSL is a plus. Graphics & Animation: You don't need to be a full-time graphic designer, but you should have a good eye for visual quality and modern web experiences. You should be comfortable with: Maintaining website graphics and visual assets.Creating or modifying website banners, images, icons, and promotional graphics.Implementing modern layouts and visual styles based on design research.Creating CSS and JavaScript animations.Adding smooth transitions, hover effects, scrolling effects, and interactive elements.Ensuring animations are responsive and performance-friendly.Maintaining visual consistency across the website. You'll Stand Out If You Have: Strong WooCommerce customization experience.Experience with payment gateway integrations such as Stripe or PayPal.Experience with AJAX and dynamic WordPress functionality.Experience creating modern website animations and interactions.Good understanding of website performance and security.A strong eye for modern web design and usability.Experience maintaining website graphics and marketing assets.A portfolio demonstrating real-world WordPress projects.
