About the Role As a Principal Software Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across the strategic platforms that underpin the client's capabilities. You will play a key role in shaping the engineering direction for core Lending platforms and supporting services, driving platform modernisation, AI-enabled engineering practices and resilient, scalable solutions that support the bank's lending operations. You will bring deep technical expertise, strategic thinking and engineering leadership to help teams deliver high-quality technology safely at scale while partnering with Product, Architecture, Risk and business stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes. In this role, you will: Lead the technical direction for strategic platforms.Provide architectural leadership across core platforms and the surrounding integration ecosystem.Design scalable, secure and resilient services across APIs, backend platforms and enterprise integrations.Champion engineering excellence including AI-enabled SDLC, DevSecOps, observability, quality engineering and automation.Build strong working relationships with the suppliers of our core platformsMentor senior engineers and uplift engineering capability across the crew.About You Software engineering with technical leadership and coaching across multiple teams and strategic platforms.Experience delivering technology for financial services platforms.Experience with LoanIQ or comparable enterprise lending platforms is highly regarded.Strong understanding of enterprise integration, operational resilience and regulated environments.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Passion for mentoring engineers and adopting AI-enabled engineering practices.Technical Skills Engineering: Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, Python, Next.js, ReactCloud & Platforms: AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, Cloud-Native ArchitectureData & Streaming: SQL, NoSQL, Data Products, Oracle, Snowflake, Event StreamingDevOps & CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Artifactory, SnykObservability: Grafana, Prometheus, PagerDutyAI: Agentic AI architecture, AI-enabled engineering tools and Agentic SDLCPlease submit your current resume to apply.
