Azure Devops Engineer

We're looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer specialising in Microsoft Azure to design, implement, and support cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for our client. This role requires someone who can work independently, take ownership of the environments they manage, and communicate clearly with client stakeholders on technical matters. Key Responsibilities Design, provision, and manage Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform)Build, manage, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (or GitHub Actions/Jenkins) for automated build, test, and deploymentManage source control practices (Git) including branching strategies, pull requests, and code review workflowsConfigure and maintain containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS)Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, or similar toolsImplement and enforce security best practices — identity and access management (Azure AD/Entra ID), RBAC, network security, secrets management (Key Vault)Automate repetitive operational tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or PythonManage configuration and environment consistency across dev, test, staging, and productionMonitor cloud costs and recommend optimisation strategies (rightsizing, reserved instances, unused resource cleanup)Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and pipeline issues, and drive root-cause resolutionCoordinate with development and client teams to plan releases and manage rollbacks when neededMaintain clear technical documentation for infrastructure, pipelines, and processesSupport platform upgrades, patching, and compliance requirements Requirements Required Skills & Experience 4-5 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps/Cloud Engineer role, with a strong focus on Microsoft AzureSolid experience with Azure core services (VMs, VNets, Storage, App Services, AKS, Azure SQL, Load Balancers, etc.)Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps pipelines (or equivalent CI/CD tools)Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep)Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS)Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or PythonUnderstanding of networking, security, and identity concepts within AzureExcellent written and verbal communication skills — able to work directly and confidently with client stakeholdersStrong sense of ownership, accountability, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindsetAbility to work independently, prioritise effectively, and adapt to changing requirements with minimal supervisionBachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent practical experience preferredMicrosoft Azure certification(s) — e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-500 — is a strong plus Good to Have Experience supporting international clientsFamiliarity with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet for configuration managementExposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP) alongside AzureExperience with monitoring/observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) Benefits WHY JOIN US Everyone who joins our team is treated as a trusted member of the team, not a number.
