Azure Devops Engineer

Role: Azure Devops Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC Visa – H1B acceptable Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines, Azure cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, and automation. Experience supporting enterprise applications in cloud-native environments is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for application deployments.Build and manage Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep/ARM templates).Automate build, release, deployment, and environment provisioning processes.Manage Azure resources including Virtual Machines, App Services, Storage Accounts, Key Vault, Azure SQL, VNets, and Load Balancers.Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to streamline DevOps practices.Implement security best practices, secrets management, RBAC, and identity integration using Azure Active Directory.Support production deployments, troubleshoot release failures, and optimize deployment performance.Maintain documentation for deployment processes, infrastructure, and operational procedures.Required Technical Skills Azure Cloud Microsoft Azure (IaaS & PaaS)Azure Resource Manager (ARM)Azure App ServicesAzure StorageAzure SQL DatabaseAzure Key VaultAzure Virtual Network (VNet)DevOps & CI/CD Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts)Git/GitHubYAML PipelinesRelease ManagementInfrastructure as Code Terraform (Preferred)BicepARM TemplatesContainers & Orchestration DockerAzure Kubernetes Service (AKS)Helm (Preferred)Scripting & Automation PowerShellBashPython (Preferred)Monitoring & Security Azure MonitorLog AnalyticsApplication InsightsAzure Active DirectoryRBACKey Vault Secrets ManagementRequired Qualifications 8–12+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years in Azure DevOps.Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and Azure DevOps pipelines.Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep.Experience deploying applications in Kubernetes/AKS environments.Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud governance.Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments.Preferred Skills Experience with GitHub Actions alongside Azure DevOps.Knowledge of SonarQube, Nexus/Artifactory, and Azure Container Registry (ACR).Experience with Azure Functions, Event Grid, and Service Bus.Familiarity with Jenkins, Ansible, or other automation tools.Experience in banking or financial services environments is a plus.Nice-to-Have Certifications Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
