About Us & The Mission
Join us to protect the world's communities from financial crime.
Our real-time fraud prevention solutions protect more than 100 billion payment transactions per year across the globe.
To address the challenges of an evolving technological ecosystem and growing market demands, we are **building a brand-new, dedicated engineering team**.
This is a rare opportunity to join at the foundation: you will help shape the future of our technology stack, evaluate architectural alternatives, and directly inform key technical decisions in close collaboration with technical leadership.
If you thrive in an environment where your voice directly impacts architecture, technology choices, and long-term product direction, this is the place for you.
Role & Opportunity
To support our evolving architecture, we are building a cloud-ready platform foundation.
As our dedicated Platform Engineer in this new team, you will have greenfield influence over our infrastructure choices: container orchestration, CI/CD automation, infrastructure-as-code, and end-to-end observability.
You will partner closely with systems engineers and leadership to define how our high-performance backend is packaged, tested, deployed, and operated across cloud and hybrid environments.
What you will work on
- Architect and manage Kubernetes workload topologies (Deployments, StatefulSets, PersistentVolumes, Helm charts) across cloud (AWS / EKS) and on-premises environments.
- Build automated CI/CD pipelines from the ground up for building, testing, linting, and packaging compiled Rust and C++ artefacts.
- Define and manage infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or OpenTofu) for reliable, reproducible cloud infrastructure.
- Design and deploy modern observability pipelines based on OpenTelemetry (metrics, distributed traces, structured logs) and visualization backends (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Configure and manage API Gateway layers for secure external routing, TLS termination, and traffic management.
- Champion infrastructure security best practices: network segmentation, secret management, and encryption at rest and in transit.
- Provide strategic infrastructure input to technical leadership as the platform scales.
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, DevOps, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on production experience with **Kubernetes** and **Helm**.
- Strong experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably **AWS** (EKS, IAM, VPC, S3).
- Deep experience designing **CI/CD pipelines** and automated build/test workflows for compiled languages.
- Experience deploying and operating **OpenTelemetry** pipelines and monitoring stacks (e.g.
Prometheus, Grafana).
- Strong proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tooling (Terraform, OpenTofu, or similar).
- Solid Linux system administration and Docker container management skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
Nice to have
- Experience running stateful, performance-critical workloads on Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with API Gateway solutions and modern traffic management.
- Understanding of security and compliance requirements in financial or regulated environments.
- Exposure to build toolchains for compiled languages (Cargo, CMake).
