Job DescriptionJob Ref ID: JR0086245 YOUR MISSION The Chief Accountant leads and develops the local accounting team, taking full ownership of statutory accounting and tax compliance in Kazakhstan in accordance with IFRS and local standards. This role ensures complete tax audit readiness, serves as the primary liaison during routine state tax reviews, and maintains effective relationships with tax authorities and external advisors. THE JOURNEY Lead, mentor, and effectively manage the local accounting team, maintaining a stable work environment and supporting their ongoing professional development.Lead the development, formalization, and annual update of the company's local accounting policy and tax policy.Streamline data flows between local sales channels, invoicing, and ERP systems to reduce manual processes.Maintain audit-ready documentation, conduct regular reviews of local tax workflows, and manage routine state tax audits to minimize exposure and penalties.Collaborate with external outsource firms and advisors for the accurate preparation and timely filing of tax returns.Optimize month-end closing routines to shorten cycle times, consistently meeting both local statutory filing deadlines and HQ deadlines with high data accuracy.Oversee high-volume transaction processing and billing workflows to ensure operational accuracy and compliance.
