DevOps Engineer
Location: Cologne / Hybrid
Salary: €60,000 – €80,000
We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a growing technology team and help build, maintain and improve modern cloud infrastructure and development platforms.
The environment is AWS-focused, but we’re open to DevOps and Cloud Engineers with experience across AWS, Azure, GCP or other cloud platforms, provided you have strong hands-on experience with modern DevOps tooling and practices.
You’ll work closely with Software Engineers and other technical teams to improve how applications are built, deployed and operated, with a strong focus on automation, scalability, reliability and security.
What you’ll be doing
Design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure, with a primary focus on AWSManage and improve Kubernetes and containerised environmentsBuild and maintain infrastructure using Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code toolsDevelop and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processesAutomate repetitive processes and improve developer workflowsMonitor systems, troubleshoot incidents and improve platform reliabilityImplement cloud security and access-control best practicesWork closely with Software Engineers to support reliable and efficient application deliveryContribute to architectural and technical decisions as the platform evolvesImprove documentation, processes and engineering standards
What we’re looking for
Professional experience as a DevOps, Cloud, Platform or Infrastructure EngineerHands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP or another major cloud platformGood experience with Kubernetes and/or DockerExperience with Terraform or another Infrastructure-as-Code technologyStrong understanding of CI/CD and modern software delivery practicesComfortable working with Linux and scripting, ideally Bash and/or PythonExperience with monitoring, logging and observabilityUnderstanding of networking, security and cloud architectureA strong automation mindset and interest in improving engineering processesGood communication skills and the ability to work closely with Software Engineering teams
