Description

Role: Python Developer Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid - 2-3 days in a week onsite) Duration: Full-Time Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Python.Build REST APIs and integrate applications with internal systems and external services.Develop data processing pipelines using Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.Write and optimize database queries for large financial datasets.Implement data validation, reconciliation, exception handling, and audit logging.Improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.Write automated unit and integration tests using Pytest or unittest.Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and technical design discussions.Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.Follow enterprise security, change management, and software development standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Strong proficiency in Python, object-oriented programming, and data structures.Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and application integration.Familiarity with Linux, shell scripting, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.Experience writing automated tests and debugging distributed applications.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
