Job Description - Roles and Responsibilities As a DEVOPS engineer, you are responsible for the management and operation of the AWS Workloads of Client.Higher education (Master or Bachelor) with technical/engineering background or equivalent through experience with ICT technology for which expertise isrequired Demonstrable experience for the technology in question or a similar technologyLanguage requirement: Dutch at European CEFR - level C2Technical context: The central AWS Hub acts as a platform for all AWS workloads of Client. It contains central components for the network architecture, DNS, logging, monitoring, deploy API, etc. Part of this platform has already been set up via Infrastructure as Code (IaC), but further elaboration is required. In addition to this platform, we also manage the application applications in the landing zones.Business context: Within Client, the central Platform Engineering team is responsible for setting up and operationalizing a central platform, set up in a hub-spoke architecture. This team consists of an Azure System Team and an AWS System Team.The team unburdens the project teams by providing central components in the hub and guides them in setting up new spokes and linking them to the hub.On this platform, we host building blocks such as Vlaanderen.be, My Citizen Profile, the Flemish Basic Registers and many others. And more projects are ready to be onboarded for the realisation of the most ambitious projects within the Flemish government.The Platform Engineering team wishes to further expand its project organization with a medior AWS DevOps engineer.
