Senior Software Engineer – Developer Platform & Infrastructure
A fast-growing robotics company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Developer Platform & Infrastructure to join Team Factory, the team responsible for building the internal infrastructure and tooling that enables engineers to develop, validate, and ship autonomous systems.
This is a hands-on role focused on creating the engineering environment that allows a growing organization to move quickly without compromising quality, reliability, or scalability.
Successful candidates will build and maintain the internal platforms, automation, and developer tooling that engineering teams rely on every day.
You will improve developer experience by creating faster feedback loops, smoother workflows, and sensible engineering defaults, while working closely with engineers to identify and remove technical friction.
You will develop services and automation primarily in Python, integrating with technologies such as Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Docker, and modern infrastructure tooling.
You will help ensure the engineering platform remains reliable, maintainable, and scalable as the organization and development tempo grow.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of:
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and proficiency in Python or another modern programming language
• Strong motivation to develop in Python
• Building internal platforms, developer tooling, or engineering infrastructure
• Developer experience (DevEx) and improving engineering workflows
• CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
• Docker and containerized application environments
• Kubernetes and modern cloud-native infrastructure
• Infrastructure automation and internal platform development
• Building reliable, maintainable, and scalable production systems
• Developer productivity, automation, and engineering enablement
• Working directly with engineers to understand and solve technical friction
• Technical communication and collaboration across engineering teams
• On-premise infrastructure and environments is advantageous
• Software-to-hardware product environments is advantageous
• Mentoring engineers and contributing to technical direction is advantageous
• Experience helping establish engineering practices and standards in an early-stage environment is advantageous
