Java Developer

Java/Kotlin Developer - €11,500–€12,000 gross/month I’m working with a stable organisation in the Dutch utilities sector that is currently modernising some of its core systems. They’re looking for an experienced Java/Kotlin Developer to join the team. You’ll be working on a greenfield project, helping move from a legacy monolithic application towards modern microservices using Event-Driven Architecture and Domain-Driven Design. What you’ll be doing Develop new functionality using Java and KotlinBuild and improve microservicesWork with Kafka, Spring Boot and PostgreSQLDesign, test and deploy your own solutionsWork closely with Product Owners, architects and other developersHelp improve the way the team works and the technology they use What they’re looking for 5+ years of experience as a Software/Java DeveloperStrong Java experienceAt least 2 years of KotlinExperience with Spring Boot, Kafka and PostgreSQLGood understanding of DDD and Event-Driven ArchitectureComfortable working in an Agile environmentSomeone who enjoys working as part of a team and can communicate well with both technical and business stakeholders Nice to have REST API designAWSKubernetes / Argo CDGitLabTerraformPrometheusSAFeGreenfield developmentExperience in the utilities sector It’s a good opportunity if you enjoy modernising legacy systems, building things from scratch and working with a modern Java/Kotlin stack.
