Description

About Us We are a rapidly growing Healthcare AI company transforming how medical aesthetic practices manage their operations, inventory, and purchasing. As we expand into the UK, we are looking for a Software Engineer in London to build and adapt our platform for the UK market. Role Overview As a Software Engineer based in London, you will work side by side with the person leading the UK launch and our engineering team in the US. This is a hands-on, full-stack role with a high degree of ownership. You will sit with clinic owners, see how they order supplies today, and help decide what to build next. The US platform is already live with practices across the country, so you start from a proven product and codebase, not a blank page. The ideal candidate is early in their career, has already shown they can build and ship things on their own, learns fast, and is comfortable taking a feature from database to interface. Key Responsibilities Build the UK Platform: Adapt and extend the Medvelle platform for the UK, covering ordering, price comparison, and inventory flows.Integrate UK Suppliers: Bring UK supplier catalogues and pricing data into the platform and keep them accurate and current.Connect Clinic Systems: Build integrations with the practice management and point-of-sale systems UK clinics already use, so Medvelle works alongside whatever a clinic runs today.Localise Commercial Flows: Adapt invoicing, payments, and reporting for GBP, VAT, and UK data protection requirements.Learn From Pilot Clinics: Work directly with clinics in our UK pilot programme, understand how they purchase, and turn what you learn into product decisions.Own UK Technical Decisions: Make and document technical choices for the UK build in coordination with US engineering.Work With the US Team: Contribute to the shared codebase, take part in code reviews, and keep daily working overlap with New York. What We Are Looking For 1 to 3 years of professional experience. Strong graduates are welcome if you can show real work.A proven track record of working independently. Show us something you built and shipped largely on your own, whether a product, a side project, open-source work, or a substantial internship project.Solid engineering fundamentals in Python, SQL, and React, or the ability to pick them up quickly from a similar stack.Comfortable across the stack, from data model to user interface.Eager to learn, open to feedback, and quick to apply it.A preference for shipping and learning from real usage over polishing in isolation.Clear written and spoken communication, including with non-technical clinic owners. An entrepreneurial attitude and an interest in healthcare.High sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability.Optional: The right to work in the UK. Growth & Opportunity This is an opportunity to join Medvelle at a critical stage of growth and to work on our expansion into a new market. You will work closely with senior leadership and the UK lead, have real input into what the UK product becomes, and gain exposure to both UK and US product work as part of one global engineering team. You will take ownership of increasingly important parts of the platform and have the opportunity to grow into broader engineering responsibilities over time. Location This is a hybrid position based in London. You will work in person with the UK lead, but may also visit pilot clinics. We believe building close to customers and to each other leads to faster learning and a better product.
