Senior Data Platform Engineer (m/f)

We’re hiring: Senior Data Platform Engineer (m/f) Ready to build the backbone of a modern cloud data platform that powers analytics, BI, and AI use cases? We’re looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to design, scale, and operate a cloud-based data platform across Croatia, Slovenia, and Bulgaria. This role sits at the core of our data ecosystem—combining cloud infrastructure, data platform engineering, and warehouse optimization to enable reliable, scalable, and secure data products. What you will do: Design and optimize cloud data warehouse and lake architectureImprove performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of BigQuery workloadsBuild and maintain platform services for batch and real-time data use casesImplement infrastructure as code and CI/CD for data platform deliveryStrengthen platform security (IAM, encryption, access control)Build observability, monitoring, and operational reliability frameworksEnable self-service analytics through stable platform foundationsWhat you bring: Strong experience with BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouseSolid background in GCP or cloud infrastructure engineeringStrong SQL and Python skills for automation and platform operationsExperience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code toolsKnowledge of IAM, security, encryption, and access control modelsExperience with CI/CD, monitoring, and production reliability practicesAbility to balance performance, scalability, governance, and costNice to have: Experience with ClickHouse, MinIO, Dataplex or similar toolsExposure to data catalogs, metadata management, or semantic layersExperience supporting ML/AI enablement platformsUnderstanding of compliance and data privacy in enterprise environmentsWhat we offer: Flexible working (hybrid/remote)Learning & development opportunitiesStrong engineering ownership and impactModern cloud-native tech stack and high-impact projectsIf you enjoy building scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms that power entire organizations — we’d love to hear from you.
