About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Application Developer to join our Digital Operator Solutions team at Airbus Defence and Space GmbH. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, microservices-based web applications that underpin our critical operational infrastructure. Your expertise will directly influence the evolution of our cloud-native platforms, ensuring they remain secure, flexible, and capable of supporting future technological advancements. You will serve as a key architect and technical leader, guiding the end-to-end lifecycle of web applications from conceptualization through deployment and maintenance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and external vendors, will be essential to ensure seamless integration, high performance, and adherence to industry standards. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with proven experience in modern web development and cloud architecture. You should demonstrate proficiency in TypeScript and Angular, with a deep understanding of containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services like S3 and Load Balancers, is essential. Knowledge of event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka, along with expertise in NoSQL databases like MongoDB, will be highly valued. Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and Agile methodologies is required, as well as excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Fluency in German is mandatory, and proficiency in English is advantageous. Candidates should also have a solid understanding of German security and governmental compliance standards. Responsibilities Lead the full lifecycle development of microservices-based web applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and quality standards.Define and evolve the company's IT architecture, including software design and infrastructure, to ensure scalability, security, and future readiness.Apply ITIL best practices to support operational excellence, participating actively in incident, problem, change, and release management processes.Manage relationships with external software development vendors, ensuring their deliverables align with architectural and quality standards.Implement and enforce security best practices, maintaining compliance with IT security policies and standards.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, performance, and developer productivity.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that support business objectives and technological advancements.
