Tech Lead Team Metrics Location: Utrecht / Hybrid Start date: 15 October 2026 End date: 14 October 2027 Working pattern: Hybrid, with office attendance on Tuesday and Wednesday Contract: Long-term assignment About the role We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead Team Metrics to join a central Quality Engineering team within a large enterprise IT environment. The focus of this role is to help development teams gain better insight into their software delivery performance by making key engineering metrics available through an internal developer portal. A major part of the assignment will be the development of a solution around DORA metrics, giving product and engineering teams greater visibility into areas such as deployment performance, delivery speed, stability and software quality. You will take technical ownership of the solution and work across the full technology stack, including data, backend and frontend components. Responsibilities Lead the technical development of a platform for engineering and DORA metrics Translate functional requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions Collect, combine and process data from multiple technical sources Develop and maintain backend components, preferably within a .NET / C# environment Work with data platforms such as Snowflake Support the integration of metrics into an internal developer portal such as Backstage Work with frontend components and data visualisation solutions Integrate information from CI/CD pipelines and engineering tooling Improve the accessibility and usability of engineering performance data Define technical standards and guide architectural decisions Support and coach engineers within the team Collaborate with product teams, platform teams and other stakeholders Gather structured feedback from users and translate this into technical improvements Ensure that solutions remain scalable, maintainable and aligned with software engineering best practices Requirements Minimum HBO/WO level of thinking and working, preferably with a technical background At least 7 years of experience in software engineering / fullstack development Demonstrable experience working in a Tech Lead, Lead Developer or similar technical leadership role Strong experience with CI/CD environments Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Strong understanding of software architecture and modern engineering principles Experience with C# / .NET or similar backend technologies Experience working with cloud environments such as Azure and/or AWS Strong affinity with data and engineering metrics Experience working with APIs, integrations and technical data sources Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Experience working in a large-scale enterprise environment Excellent spoken and written Dutch Nice to have Experience with DORA metrics Experience with Backstage or other internal developer portals Experience with Snowflake Experience with data visualisation or dashboarding tools Experience with Git and ServiceNow Experience with developer productivity, platform engineering or developer experience initiatives Profile You are a hands-on technical leader who enjoys working at the intersection of software engineering, data and developer productivity. You are comfortable taking ownership of complex technical solutions while remaining closely involved in engineering decisions. You can explain complex technical topics clearly, work effectively with different stakeholders and guide a team towards practical, maintainable solutions.
