UI Developer (React.js & Node.js)

About The Role As a UI Developer (React.js & Node.js), you will make an impact by leading the design, development, and delivery of modern web applications that provide exceptional user experiences. You will be a valued member of the delivery team and work collaboratively with architects, business stakeholders, client teams, and cross-functional technology partners to build scalable digital solutions. In This Role, You Will Lead the development of responsive, scalable, and high-performing web applications using React.js and Node.js. Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into innovative technology solutions. Drive front-end architecture decisions, coding standards, and development best practices across the delivery team. Design and consume APIs while ensuring seamless integration across applications and enterprise systems. Leverage AI-powered development tools, including GitHub Copilot, to accelerate development productivity, code quality, and troubleshooting. Support CI/CD implementation and DevOps practices to enable efficient and reliable software deployments. Mentor development team members and contribute to technical problem solving across the application lifecycle. Rest assured, we will always be clear about role expectations. What You Need To Have To Be Considered Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using React.js and Node.js. Experience leading UI development initiatives and collaborating with distributed delivery teams. Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and application integration patterns. Experience working with modern software development practices, including CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies. Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve development efficiency and code quality. Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. These will help you stand out Experience working in cloud environments such as Azure or AWS. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Understanding of modern front-end architecture, performance optimization, and security best practices. Experience guiding technical design discussions and influencing engineering decisions. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and distributed team environments. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or equivalent Applications will be accepted till September 22nd 2026. Total Compensation We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD $60,300 to $95,500 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
