DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer

Since the pioneering launch of Starlink satellites in 2018, Low Earth Orbit satellite constellations have reshaped global communication networks. They now represent the majority of active satellites in orbit, delivering critical services ranging from broadband connectivity in underserved regions to emergency and disaster response capabilities. Their rapid growth has made them a cornerstone of modern telecommunications. At the same time, the expansion of megaconstellations such as Starlink, OneWeb, Kuiper, and Guo Wang introduces significant technical and regulatory challenges. Limited spectrum availability forces multiple operators to coexist within the same frequency bands, creating a highly complex environment involving interference management, international regulatory compliance, and country-specific licensing constraints. At Groundspace, our mission is to help operators and regulators address these challenges. We develop advanced tools and infrastructure to better understand and mitigate interference, optimize network performance, and ensure compliance with global regulatory frameworks. We're a team of around 25 engineers and space-tech professionals. Our main engineering office is based in France, and we recently opened our Jakarta office as we continue expanding our engineering and operational capabilities internationally. We're looking for a hands-on infrastructure engineer who enjoys building reliable development environments, automating workflows, and keeping complex engineering systems running smoothly. This is not a "just manage pipelines" role. We're searching for someone who can own and improve our engineering infrastructure end-to-end, from GitLab CI/CD pipelines to monorepo build orchestration and Linux-based engineering environments. What you'll work on : - Design, maintain, and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines - Manage and scale a complex monorepo build infrastructure - Improve developer workflows, build performance, and release reliability - Manage and improve the Linux systems powering our engineering workflows, automated builds, and development infrastructure - Automate infrastructure and operational processes - Support a high-performance engineering environment with a strong reliability mindset What we're looking for : - 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or similar roles - Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills - Strong networking and security fundamentals - Experience with GitLab CI/CD and modern automation workflows - Familiarity with monorepo tooling and build systems - Strong scripting and debugging abilities - Professional English proficiency - Someone pragmatic, autonomous, and engineering-driven Nice to have : - Experience with containers and orchestration - Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) - Build acceleration, caching, or distributed build systems You'll join a small, highly technical team where your work will directly shape our development infrastructure and engineering workflows.
