Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Software Developer role based in Prague, with flexibility to work from home part of the time. The Software Developer will design, implement, and maintain back-end services and APIs that power Apollar’s digital products, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, testable code, reviewing peer code, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to architectural decisions for marketplace platforms like RentMe. The role involves collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver features, improve existing functionality, and support continuous integration and deployment workflows. The Software Developer will also participate in technical planning, documentation, and ongoing optimization of systems to support international growth. Qualifications Solid foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building and maintaining production systems.Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, working with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and its application in modern codebases.Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases, and basic knowledge of cloud or container platforms is beneficial.Ability to write clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.Comfort working in a hybrid environment in Prague, with a proactive and self-organized working style.
