Senior Software Engineer - Operations

About the Role On behalf of our client a high-growth, fast-scaling Fintech company-we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a operations leaning lens. In this role, you will maintain, scale, and elevate their core TypeScript/React platforms across lending, risk management, and customer service. Sitting at the intersection of feature delivery and system health, you will balance proactive operational enhancements with second-level production support to ensure their financial applications scale seamlessly. What You'll Do Build & Scale: Partner with cross-functional engineering, Support, and business teams to develop, optimize, and scale front-end and back-end services for mission-critical fintech operations.Drive Production Reliability: Identify recurring operational bottlenecks, perform root-cause analysis, and deploy durable fixes via code, automated scripts, workflows, alerts, and runbooks.Deliver Incremental Improvements: Balance Level 2 support duties with continuous codebase refactoring to lift performance, maintainability, and overall operability.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside Platform Engineering and infrastructure specialists to resolve systemic reliability challenges and drive business-wide platform initiatives.What You Bring Core Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React, alongside solid full-stack fundamentals and hands-on experience with distributed microservice architectures.Pragmatic Mindset: Action-oriented problem solver who navigates trade-offs effectively and delivers high-value solutions without waiting for "perfect" conditions.Observability & Diagnostics: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production bugs using metrics, logs, distributed tracing, and support context.Engineering Rigor: Commitment to clean code, disciplined unit/integration testing, and maintainable software engineering practices.Modern Tooling & Curiosity: Enthusiasm for leveraging automation, scripting, and AI-assisted tools to streamline incident resolution, cut manual overhead, and improve documentation.Collaborative Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong desire to share knowledge and learn continuously.
