Role Description The Senior Power Platform Software Engineer (Developer) will design, build, and maintain solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and related services. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing back-end components, integrating data sources and APIs, implementing secure and scalable application architectures, and troubleshooting technical issues. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, translating business needs into technical designs, and documenting solutions and best practices. This is a contract position based in Canberra, offered as a hybrid role with a combination of on-site work and work from home. Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.Experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, particularly building secure, scalable services and APIs.Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in languages commonly used with Power Platform and Microsoft ecosystems (e.g., C#, JavaScript, TypeScript).Hands-on experience designing and developing solutions on Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).Knowledge of cloud platforms and services, preferably Microsoft Azure, including integration, security, and monitoring.Ability to work effectively in hybrid teams, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and document solutions thoroughly.Relevant degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience in enterprise environments, familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, source control), and adherence to accessibility, security, and compliance standards.
