What You Will Be Doing
This is a quota-carrying enterprise sales role responsible for landing and expanding large, complex public charging accounts across CPO, Retail, and Destination segments.
You will own the full enterprise sales cycle β prospecting, discovery, solution design, multi-stakeholder negotiation, and close β while developing deep segment expertise that sharpens your approach and feeds actionable intelligence back to Product, Policy, R&D, and Marketing.
The person in this seat reports to the Vice President of Sales, North America and operates as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers and a subject-matter resource to internal teams.
What You Will Bring to ChargePoint
Segment Expertise & Pipeline Development
Develop deep knowledge of customer economics, procurement patterns, technical requirements, and competitive positioning within your assigned segments (CPO & Retail) to inform deal strategy and pipeline prioritization
Share field intelligence and customer feedback with Product, Policy, R&D, and Marketing on a regular cadence to help shape roadmap priorities, regulatory positioning, and go-to-market messaging
Prospect and generate new enterprise pipeline by identifying and engaging key decision-makers and buying committees within major accounts across each sub-segment
Stay current on market, competitive, and policy shifts; track pipeline and revenue KPIs within your segments to identify emerging opportunities and adjust your approach
Strategic Account Management
Own a portfolio of named enterprise accounts; serve as the primary point of accountability for account health, expansion, and long-term
Lead end-to-end negotiation and contract structuring for high-value, multi-year enterprise agreements, navigating procurement, legal, and executive stakeholder
Drive land-and-expand motions within enterprise accounts, deepening executive relationships and uncovering new use cases to grow annual contract value
Collaborate with cross-functional pursuit teams (sales, marketing, legal, finance, product) on major RFPs and large bids, using blueprint data to sharpen proposal strategy
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Bring account and field intelligence into Product, Policy, R&D, and Marketing conversations to influence what gets built, priced, and messaged based on real customer needs.
Build business cases, ROI analyses, and total-cost-of-ownership models to support enterprise pursuits and customer investment decisions, partnering with deal desk and solution engineering as needed
Track your pipeline and account performance against plan; adjust account strategies as the market evolves
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field with 12+ years of experience; or Master's/MBA with 8+ years; or PhD with 5+ years; or equivalent professional experience.
Advanced degree strongly preferred
12 years of enterprise sales experience selling complex solutions to large organizations, with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding quota; EV, energy, or technology sector background required, with public charging market exposure strongly preferred
Skilled at building executive-ready presentations (PowerPoint) that translate complex data into clear narratives for internal and external stakeholders
Comfortable leveraging AI and automation tools to accelerate research, analysis, and content development
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Proven track record of managing long enterprise sales cycles ($1M+ deal sizes) and closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals at the C-suite and VP level
Ability to think strategically and act operationally β able to build and execute enterprise account plans that map stakeholders, identify expansion opportunities, and drive measurable revenue growth
Recognized internally and externally as a subject-matter authority on market dynamics; leads or contributes to the development of company sales strategy, pricing policy, and go-to-market positioning based on deep synthesis of competitive intelligence, customer insights, and industry trends
Deep expertise in the e-mobility industry, public charging infrastructure, and energy markets required; established industry network and relationships a strong differentiator.
Regularly engages with key external stakeholders β industry groups, regulatory bodies, and C-level customer executives β to advance company positioning and inform strategic decisions
Willingness to travel domestically as business needs require

The base salary range for this role is $289,000 β $391,000 per year.
In addition, this position is eligible for annual merit-based RSU grants.

Compensation may be adjusted based on work location.
