Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Full Stack Engineer role based in North York, ON. The Full Stack Engineer will design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications that power LIFTNGO’s vehicle transport platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing responsive user interfaces, building and optimizing back-end services and APIs, integrating with carrier and dealer systems, and ensuring high performance and reliability across the stack. The role also involves collaborating with product and operations teams to translate business needs into technical solutions, writing clean and testable code, reviewing peer code, and contributing to continuous improvement of the overall architecture and development practices. Tech stack: Language / Framework: PHP 8.3 / Laravel 10 Database: MySQL Authentication: Laravel Sanctum Payments: Stripe Email: SendGrid Push Notifications: Firebase FCM Real-time / WebSockets: beyondcode/laravel-websockets, self-hosted File Storage: AWS S3 and DigitalOcean Spaces Caching / Queues: Redis Error Monitoring: Sentry CI/CD: Gitea, self-hosted, with dev, staging, and production pipelines Qualifications Strong front-end development skills, including proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for responsive, accessible user interfaces.Experience in back-end web development, including building RESTful APIs, managing databases, and integrating external services securely and efficiently.Proven ability in full-stack development and general software development, with a focus on scalable, maintainable, and test-driven code.Comfort working with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative development workflows.Understanding of web security best practices, performance optimization, and cloud-based deployment environments.Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, on-site team.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience in logistics, transportation, or marketplace platforms is an asset.
