Role Title: Senior Appian Engineer
Clerk Grade: 9/10
Employment Type: Ongoing
Remuneration: Salary range for Clerk 9/10 is $133,348 - $146,945pa, plus superannuation and leave loading
Location: We have dedicated office space in Sydney (McKell) or Gosford with hybrid and flexible working conditions available.
The Long Service Corporation is a standalone agency within the Department of Customer Services that reports directly to the Managing Director of Service NSW whilst maintaining its executive agency status.
About the team
The Long Service Corporation (LSC) manages portable long service schemes for the building and construction industry and contract cleaning industry, and we are about to launch our third scheme for community services industry (CSI).
You'll be joining the newly established Digital and Program Delivery team in LSC.
The team is leading the delivery of new portable long service leave schemes, including the development and rollout of the systems and processes needed to administer them.
In addition, this team is also responsible for ongoing improvement initiatives ensuring our current schemes and systems continue to evolve and improve.
Your day-to-day:
Design, build, test, and support Appian applications that deliver reliable, secure, and scalable digital services for LSC schemes.Develop and enhance Appian components including SAIL interfaces, process models, records, reports, expression rules, decision rules, integrations, and sites.Translate business requirements and process designs into Appian solutions that are maintainable, performant, and aligned to platform best practice.Work with architects, analysts, testers, vendors, and product teams to support system transitions, integration-led delivery, and continuous improvement.Support Appian integrations with enterprise platforms and third-party services using APIs, data stores, secure credentials, and established integration patterns.Contribute to release planning, deployment activities, defect resolution, production support, and operational handover across Appian environments.Provide technical guidance, code review input, and practical support to uplift Appian development standards across the team.To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
Strong hands-on Appian delivery experience, including SAIL, process modelling, records, reports, expression rules, integrations, and application packaging.Ability to design Appian solutions that balance customer needs, business outcomes, platform constraints, security requirements, and long-term maintainability.Experience working with relational databases, APIs, integration patterns, testing practices, and release management in an Agile delivery environment.Confidence troubleshooting complex issues, improving performance, reducing operational risk, and supporting production services.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide engineers, work with vendors, and explain technical options to non-technical stakeholders.Click Here to access the Role Description .
