Senior Software Engineer

Laneway Talent is partnering with a Federal Government agency to identify an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a high-performing digital delivery team developing modern business applications and cloud-based solutions. This opportunity will see you working within a collaborative, agile environment where you'll leverage Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Azure technologies to deliver solutions that support critical government services. You'll work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to design, build and enhance enterprise applications while contributing to best-practice development and delivery standards. About the Role As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development and support of business-critical applications across the Microsoft ecosystem. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the full software development lifecycle and can confidently contribute within a small, high-performing team. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain solutions using Dynamics 365, Dataverse and Power Platform.Build modern web applications and user experiences.Design and integrate APIs, backend services and databases.Deliver scalable cloud solutions using Azure technologies.Contribute to architecture, CI/CD pipelines and development best practices.Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.Analyse, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Essential Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate experience with: Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform and Power Pages.JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS and modern frameworks such as Vue.js.C#, .NET, REST APIs, JSON and SQL.Azure Functions, API Management, Logic Apps and Power Automate.Azure DevOps, source control and CI/CD practices.Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary delivery teams. Highly Regarded Azure AI Services and intelligent automation technologies.Microsoft Copilot, AI Builder and Generative AI solutions.Agentic AI and automation platforms.Microsoft certifications across Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure and AI technologies. Security Clearance & Eligibility Applicants must be Australian Citizens and currently hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Baseline Security Clearance. Candidates who already possess an active Baseline Clearance will be highly regarded. Location Canberra-based candidates are strongly preferred. Candidates located in nearby regions with the ability to travel to Canberra as required, including Sydney and surrounding areas, will also be considered. Why Apply?
