Job Description The Tech Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer supports the Cloud and DevOps Foundation Team by providing technical Leadership for AWS cloud infrastructure, automation, and continuous integration and delivery capabilities. They’ll guide Team members while overseeing solution design, quality, cost-effectiveness, and implementation across cloud platforms. They’ll embed security, governance, and compliance into reusable infrastructure patterns and delivery pipelines that protect Company and Customer data while improving Developer productivity. The Tech Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer leverages strong technical expertise and collaboration skills to accelerate cloud modernization, reduce risk, and deliver secure, scalable solutions across the enterprise. Additional Details This role is offered as a remote workplace position, which may require travel for trainings, meetings, conferences, etc. Outside of those required visits, the majority of your working time may be spent in an approved remote location, away from our Corporate Campus. Please note, while this is a remote position, there is limited group of states or localities ineligible for Employees to regularly perform their work off-site. Responsibilities Work with other leaders to shape, improve and evolve the cloud platform vision and strategy for the future of cloud infrastructure and help manage the adoption processOperate in a DevOps culture and team, responsible for architecture, design, development, implementation, and ongoing operations of new and emerging technology platformsEvaluate cloud services and architecture to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problemsImplement automation tools and frameworks for automatic code deployment (CI/CD)Work with the development team to deploy and manage tools that support SDLC automation, configuration management, and release managementCreate state-of-the-art technical architectures with automation to support complex delivery across a wide range of digital and enterprise applicationsConsult with stakeholders to specify requirements and solutions which address business challenges and opportunitiesServe as a subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure, performing design reviews and consulting with internal teams to ensure design best practicesParticipate in system and acceptance testing to ensure that systems are functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integratedLead, define and clearly communicate technical standards, governance, and compliance for cloud ecosystemMay perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Knowledge of AWS Infrastructure as a Service Automation tools like Cloud FormationKnowledge of AWS compute, data sources, security technologiesKnowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IAC)Skilled in deployment strategies using Docker for containerizationKnowledge of the monitoring and management of the build and deployment processes and infrastructureAbility to analyze services to ensure security best practices are followedAbility to mentor and guide team members' learning, including introducing new ideas and technologiesSkilled in evaluating, onboarding, and managing new technologies/services/featuresAbility to anticipate business needs and lead a team towards identifying and solving cross-domain problems Education Required: High School Diploma or GEDRequired: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information systems or similar fields of study or equivalent advanced level experience Experience Required: Expert-level experience, expansive and far-reaching knowledge in Cloud software or DevOpsPreferred:Experience with training/presenting to other groups, enabling developer self -service Experience in CloudWatch Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) & virtual subnets Experience in helping a company move from on-prem to cloud Licensing/Certification N/A Physical Abilities Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of timeAbility to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the jobAbility to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job Other Qualifications Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelinesMust be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986Must be at least 18 years of ageMust be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelinesMust be able to travel and /or attend Company and non-Company facilities and remote locations such as remote-based offices as necessary Pay & Benefits Competitive market salary from $168,650 per year to $187,400 per year* depending on qualifications and experience.
