Become the founding engineer for a new deployment engineering functionSet technical standards rather than inherit a finished operating model.Own systems spanning cloud, physical infrastructure, and disconnected networks.Solve production problems with genuine national-security consequencesBuild the platform, processes, and runbooks future engineers will follow The Role A technical, hands-on role where you will: Own packaging, configuration, release, upgrade, and rollback for mission applicationsAdminister Kubernetes or OpenShift workloads, resources, namespaces, and tenancy.Operate Linux infrastructure across cloud, on-premises, and high-side environmentsBuild CI/CD, Helm, configuration-management, and Infrastructure-as-Code workflows.Integrate security scanning, triage findings, and remediate vulnerabilities.Diagnose production incidents and help establish monitoring and on-call practices.Maintain SSPs, architecture diagrams, and systems operating within ATO scope. The Essential Requirements U.S. citizenship with Clearance, and willingness to work onsite securely.4 or more years of hands-on Linux systems administration experience.Production Kubernetes or OpenShift, containers, CI/CD, and Terraform experience.Experience supporting mission-critical systems in accredited or regulated environments. What Will Make You Stand Out: Air-gapped, classified, high-side, or disconnected deployment experience.ATO ownership, DoD IL5, FedRAMP, SRG, or NIST compliance exposure.TAK, TRAX, or comparable third-party mission-application experience.
