A leading organisation is seeking a Cloud and Infrastructure Operations Specialist to join their IT team in Bangkok. What You'll Do As a Cloud and Infrastructure Operations Specialist based in Bangkok, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how cloud infrastructure is built, operated, and scaled within a global enterprise. Your daily activities will involve architecting robust multi-cloud solutions that are both secure and cost-effective. You will administer the Microsoft ecosystem across the organisation—ensuring seamless integration of identity governance policies—and support on-premises hardware during its transition to cloud-based systems. By driving Infrastructure as Code initiatives with tools like Terraform or Ansible, you will automate deployments while maintaining CI/CD pipelines for continuous improvement. Containerisation strategies using Docker or Kubernetes will further streamline operations. Automation is central to this role; you’ll develop scripts in Python or Bash to reduce manual effort while leveraging AI assistants for troubleshooting. Identifying opportunities for AI/ML-driven enhancements such as intelligent alerting or predictive planning will be key. You’ll also create smart runbooks that enable self-healing capabilities within the infrastructure. Clear documentation is essential—your SOPs will empower L1/L2 teams—and you’ll oversee outsourced service providers managing daily operations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams ensures seamless service delivery while regular reviews with vendors maintain high standards of performance. Own and optimise the organisation’s multi-cloud infrastructure by architecting scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions that meet evolving business needs.Administer and manage the Microsoft ecosystem including Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft 365, Intune, SharePoint, Exchange Online, and Teams to ensure seamless identity governance and security baselines.Support on-premises infrastructure such as firewalls, switches, servers, and storage while actively participating in migration initiatives towards cloud environments.Drive Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform and Ansible to automate deployment processes and maintain CI/CD pipelines for both infrastructure and application delivery.Implement containerisation strategies utilising Docker and Kubernetes to enhance operational efficiency and scalability across platforms.Develop automation scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to eliminate repetitive tasks and reduce operational toil throughout the IT landscape.Leverage AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Claude to accelerate scripting efforts, troubleshoot workflows, and build intelligent operational solutions.Identify opportunities for AI/ML-driven automation including intelligent alerting, anomaly detection, predictive capacity planning, and auto-remediation of common incidents.Create smart runbooks and self-healing scripts powered by AI to triage, diagnose, and resolve infrastructure issues before escalation to L1/L2 teams.Write clear documentation including standard operating procedures (SOPs) for L1/L2 support teams while managing outsourced service providers responsible for NOC operations. You bring advanced technical skills in administering Microsoft ecosystems—covering everything from Entra ID governance to M365 suite integration—and have successfully implemented Infrastructure as Code methodologies using industry-standard tools like Terraform or Ansible. Your ability to automate routine tasks through scripting languages such as Python or Bash sets you apart; you consistently seek ways to reduce manual effort by leveraging AI-powered assistants for troubleshooting workflows. Experience managing outsourced service providers is crucial—you understand how to define SLAs/KPIs while conducting thorough performance reviews. Networking fundamentals are second nature; you can configure DNS/DHCP settings or administer firewalls/load balancers confidently. Minimum five years’ experience in infrastructure or cloud engineering roles with proven ability to manage complex multi-cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.Extensive hands-on expertise administering Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), M365 suite administration including Intune and Exchange Online.Demonstrated proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible alongside CI/CD pipeline management using GitLab CI or Jenkins.Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell enabling efficient automation of operational tasks across IT systems.Experience overseeing outsourced service providers or Managed Service Providers (MSPs), including SLA definition and performance review processes.Strong documentation abilities allowing production of clear SOPs and runbooks tailored for operational support teams at various levels.Solid understanding of networking fundamentals covering TCP/IP protocols, DNS configuration, DHCP management, VPN setup, firewall administration, load balancing techniques.Familiarity with ITIL framework principles encompassing incident management, problem resolution processes, change control procedures.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field demonstrating foundational technical knowledge relevant to this specialist position.Comfortable utilising AI productivity tools such as Copilot or ChatGPT for code generation, documentation enhancement or workflow troubleshooting.
