As a Software Engineer on the Production Engineering team in our Infrastructure R&D Department, you’ll play a vital role in building and scaling the core platform behind one of the largest real-time recommendation systems in the world! 1.4 billion users. 950,000 requests per second. 140TB of fresh data every day. 800M metrics every minute. To Thrive In This Role, You’ll Need Experience developing large scale distributed systems and solid understanding of production system infrastructureDeep understanding of strong Computer Science fundamentals: object-oriented design, data structures, and concurrent/multi-threaded programming5+ years programming experience in Java or equivalent Object-Oriented languageProduction systems understandingExperience with SQL and No-SQLHighly Proficient in Linux environmentProven ability to work effectively across multiple teamsB.Sc in computer science or equivalent experience Bonus Points If You Have Experience in Big Data toolsKnowledge in algorithms, data-mining and machine learning How You’ll Make An Impact As a Production engineering team member, you’ll bring value by: Have end to end ownership: Design, develop, deploy, measure and maintain our servicesBuild and evolve one of the world's largest real-time systems, including Taboola's core framework code, used across R&DImprove observability, monitoring, and logging to proactively detect and resolve performance issues.Leverage Gen-AI tools to accelerate development velocity across the R&D organization, enabling further growth of Taboola’s recommendation engineCollaborate with the brightest software engineers team membersDirectly shape how billions of people discover the internet.
