We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer
Frontend Developer to join our dynamic team at a leading financial institution in Zurich, Switzerland.
In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the frontend architecture of mission critical financial platforms, driving technical excellence.
You bring deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React, combined with strong engineering judgment, a passion for high quality user experiences, and a solid understanding of enterprise scale systems in regulated environments.
In addition to enhancing our core platform, the team is building a strategic new channel that brings investment capabilities directly to the bank's external clients through seamless integration with the e-banking platform.
Engineers joining the team will have the opportunity to shape the architecture, scalability, and operational model of this highly visible initiative from an early stage.
YOUR CHALLENGE
Take ownership of complex frontend solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and long‑term maintainabilityPartner closely with UX/UI designers and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into intuitive, high‑quality user experiencesDeliver high‑quality, production‑grade React and TypeScript code for complex financial applicationsAddress advanced frontend challenges such as state management, performance optimization, and integration with distributed backend systemsProactively refactor and modernize existing codebases where requiredSupport troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis in both development and production environmentsContribute actively in an agile, fast‑paced, and highly collaborative environment
YOUR PROFILE
Extensive, hands‑on experience in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a strong focus on React at enterprise scaleDeep understanding of modern frontend ecosystems, tools, and frameworks (React, Node.js, build tooling)Proven experience working with design systems and large, shared component librariesSolid understanding of Unix/Linux environments and bash scriptingExperience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft AzureKnowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
