Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

Job Description: SR DevOps Engineer – Azure DevOps, CI/CD & Agentic AI No C2C & No sponsership We are looking for an experienced Sr DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Azure DevOps (ADO), CI/CD pipelines, YAML, automated workflows, and developer tooling. The ideal candidate will have experience building and optimizing engineering workflows in large-scale environments and a strong understanding of how AI agents and agentic AI can automate software development and DevOps activities. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and improving workflows that support the software development lifecycle—from documentation and coding through testing, building, deployment, and release—with an emphasis on automation and AI-driven engineering workflows. Key Responsibilities Minimum 5+ years of experience neededDesign, develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and YAML.Go (Golang) is good to haveBuild and manage automated workflows across the software development lifecycle, including code development, testing, build, deployment, and release processes.Develop and maintain Azure DevOps tooling, pipeline infrastructure, templates, and reusable automation components.Identify opportunities to replace manual engineering processes with automated and agent-driven workflows.Design workflows that leverage AI agents / Agentic AI to assist with activities such as:Technical documentation generation and maintenance.Code generation and code modification.Automated code review and analysis.Test creation and execution.Build validation and troubleshooting.Deployment preparation and release activities.Evaluate how many existing engineering workflows can be driven or augmented by AI agents and identify opportunities to increase automation.Integrate AI-enabled capabilities into existing DevOps pipelines and engineering tooling.Develop workflows where multiple specialized agents can support different stages of the development lifecycle, such as documentation, coding, testing, and deployment.Partner with software engineers, platform engineers, and other technical teams to understand day-to-day development workflows and identify areas for agentic automation.Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Azure DevOps pipelines, builds, releases, deployments, and automation workflows.Create reusable pipeline templates and automation patterns that can be adopted across engineering teams.Monitor pipeline performance, reliability, and execution and continuously improve the developer experience.Establish best practices for CI/CD, workflow automation, DevOps tooling, and AI-assisted engineering.Document pipeline architecture, automation processes, tooling, and operational procedures.Collaborate with distributed engineering teams across Canada and the US.Required Qualifications Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO).Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using YAML.Experience defining, configuring, and maintaining automated engineering workflows.Experience with DevOps tooling across multiple stages of the software development lifecycle.Practical understanding of how AI agents or Agentic AI can be applied to software engineering and DevOps workflows.Experience identifying manual engineering activities that can be automated through AI-driven or intelligent workflows.Experience with build, test, deployment, and release automation.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across CI/CD environments.Experience working with distributed technical teams across Canada and the US.Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.Preferred Qualifications Experience working with AI agents, Agentic AI, generative AI, or AI-assisted developer tools.Experience integrating AI capabilities into CI/CD pipelines or developer tooling.Experience creating multi-step or multi-agent workflows for software engineering processes.Experience with Azure engineering environments and proprietary developer tools.Familiarity with Golang or other programming languages for extending DevOps tooling and automation.Experience developing reusable automation frameworks, pipeline templates, or internal developer platforms.Experience measuring workflow automation, including the percentage of engineering workflows that are automated or agent-driven Don't forget to share your resume with me at aayushmaan@ifgpr.com or here.
