Description
Overview
We’re looking for a senior, hands-on Full Stack Developer with strong PHP backend experience and solid modern frontend skills.
This person will work on an existing production application spanning PHP, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, Alpine.js, SCSS, and external API integrations.
You should be comfortable working across the entire request lifecycle—from browser interactions and server-rendered templates through controllers, services, database models, and third-party APIs.
This is not a role for someone who only builds APIs or only works in React.
We need an experienced developer who can understand an existing application, diagnose problems across the stack, make sound technical decisions, and ship production features independently.
You’ll work on business-critical applications that support guided workflows, capture and process data, and integrate with external systems and services.
What You’ll Do
Build and maintain functionality in an existing PHP applicationDevelop new backend functionality using modern PHP and established application patternsDebug and resolve production issues across the frontend, backend, database, and external integrationsDevelop and maintain controllers, services, models, console commands, and API integrationsWork extensively with PostgreSQL, including queries, schema changes, data relationships, and troubleshootingBuild and improve user-facing workflows using TypeScript, Alpine.js, SCSS, and server-rendered templatesTranslate Figma designs and product requirements into clean, responsive interfacesDevelop reusable frontend components and interaction patternsIntegrate with REST APIs and external servicesWork with authentication and authorization flows, including Azure Entra ID / SSOUnderstand existing architecture before introducing new frameworks or abstractionsMake pragmatic technical decisions that favor maintainability and simplicityCollaborate directly with product, engineering, and business stakeholdersParticipate in architecture and product discussions, not just ticket implementationTake features from requirements through production deployment

Database
Strong SQL skillsProfessional experience with PostgreSQL or a comparable relational databaseAbility to:Write and troubleshoot queriesUnderstand schemas and relationshipsWork with migrationsDiagnose permissions and data issuesUnderstand transactional application workflowsExperience using an ORM such as Eloquent, Doctrine, or similar
Frontend

You should be comfortable working effectively within the existing frontend architecture rather than assuming the frontend needs to be rewritten into another framework.
Design & UX
