We are currently looking for a Service Architect to join our growing client in Luxembourg!
Key Responsibilities
Design and govern the end-to-end architecture of Tomcat and PHP managed services, from self-service requests and automated orchestration to workloads running on RHEL VMs or Kubernetes/OpenShift ;Define the full service lifecycle, including build, distribution, configuration, runtime, secrets management, resilience, and high availability across VM and container environments ;Design secure container image supply chains, CI/CD, GitOps, and self-service provisioning, using declarative automation and authenticated platform APIs ;Architect integrations with CMDB/inventory, backup, chargeback, configuration management, IAM, data protection, certificates, ingress/load balancing, reverse proxies, and observability (monitoring, logging, alerting, health and usage metrics) ;Produce architecture and resilience documentation, ADRs and SAR evidence, and support architecture governance, design reviews, cross-team alignment, and operational teams ;
Profile & Experience
5+ years of experience in service/solution architecture, middleware engineering, or application-hosting platform design and operations ;Bachelor's degree in Computer Science ;Strong hands-on experience with Java application servers, PHP hosting, and production workloads across RHEL VMs and Kubernetes/OpenShift ;Strong knowledge of Linux/RHEL, virtualization, OS hardening, VM lifecycle, storage, multi-site HA, Kubernetes/OpenShift multi-tenancy, networking, storage, access control, and resource management ;Experience designing automated self-service provisioning, service catalogue/orchestration models, GitOps, CI/CD, container image management, and secure software supply chains ;Hands-on experience with several of the following:
Java: Tomcat 9/10/11, TomEE, OpenJDK/Eclipse Temurin 8/11/17/21/25, Apache HTTP Server;PHP: PHP 8.3/8.4, PHP-FPM, Symfony;Infrastructure: RHEL 9, Kubernetes, OpenShift;Automation: Cycloid, n8n, Ansible, Python, Bash;I/CD & GitOps: GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Concourse;Security & Supply Chain: Nexus, Trivy, cosign, HashiCorp Vault;Observability: Dynatrace, Splunk, OpenTelemetry.Strong analytical and documentation skills, including architecture descriptions, ADRs, resilience/topology designs, and SAR evidence.
