Description
We are looking for a Software Engineer within Axon Product Development to help us build new functionality and add improvements to our SaaS platform.
If you have an eye for writing code and are interested in agile methodologies, we'd like to meet you!
Key About Your Role
As a Software Engineer within a Scrum team, you use high-quality code to solve complex puzzles.
You collaborate with business analysts and test engineers to create new functionality for our customers and add internal improvements to our software.
Together with the other members of your Scrum team, you take full responsibility for a vital part of the software.
You strive to deliver solid solutions by optimising their performance, usability, testability and maintainability and are proud of the products that you create.
You analyse complex problems by actively cooperating with colleagues from various teams and find the best solution by combining different insights.
We also embrace AI-assisted software engineering as part of our development lifecycle.
Our engineers use tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Codex to support activities across the SDLC.
From exploring requirements and solution options, to writing and refactoring code, creating tests, debugging, documentation and code review.
AI is a development aid, not a substitute for engineering judgement: you are expected to understand the solutions you deliver, validate AI-generated output and remain accountable for its correctness, security, performance and maintainability.
As part of a large community of fellow software engineers, you are always looking for opportunities to improve your engineering skills, experiment with better ways of working and continuously improve our software and code base.
