As a Senior Software Engineer on our Platform team, you'll have the opportunity to influence our technological evolution, moving from established C#/.NET systems to modern TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS-native architectures.
What You'll Bring:
Proven expertise in TypeScript and Node.js backend development, with experience designing exceptional APIs and data integrations.Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, particularly AWS, including serverless and event-driven systems.Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code practices for deploying and managing cloud environments.Strong experience with relational databases like SQL, data modelling, and large-scale data processing.Practical knowledge of automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and observability best practices.Familiarity with modern AI coding tools such as Claude Code or OpenAI Codex, and the ability to integrate AI into software workflows responsibly.Excellent problem-solving skills in diagnosing complex issues across applications and infrastructure.Ability to work independently, take ownership of systems, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with C# and .NET, particularly in modernising existing software.Knowledge of AWS services like Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, API Gateway.Background in containers, Docker, React, or large-scale data solutions.Exposure to rail or transport industry data and operations.Preferred Education & Experience:
