GPC Asia Pacific is seeking an experienced Systems Developer to join our Business Systems Solutions Group.
Reporting to the Application Team Lead, you will design, develop, enhance and support business-critical solutions within our core mainframe-based ERP environment.
This role is ideal for a developer with deep CICS COBOL expertise who enjoys solving complex integration and application challenges.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design, develop, test, debug and deploy mainframe application solutions.Support and enhance GPC Asia Pacific’s core mainframe-based ERP system.Map and document interfaces between legacy and new systems.Partner with Business Analysts to prepare solution and design documentation.Assess solution options for technical and business suitability.Prepare and oversee testing schedules, environments and test strategies.Coordinate implementation of new functionality and system changes.Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Systems Integration, PMO, developers and third-party providers.Participate in an on-call support rotation.
What You’ll Bring
7+ years’ experience in mainframe application design and development.Strong hands-on experience with:CICSCOBOLMVSJCLTSODatacom-DBDB2VSAMExperience developing system integrations using Mainframe CICS Web Services.Strong analysis, solution design, testing and debugging skills.Experience with Datacom-DB will be highly regarded.Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline.
