Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript & Python) Frankfurt - Onsite We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who thrives on solving complex engineering challenges and building software that performs under pressure. You'll play a key role in developing a high-performance, real-time web platform where reliability, precision and scalability are essential. Working across a modern React frontend and an asynchronous Python backend, you'll help shape the architecture behind enterprise-grade AI experiences, ensuring seamless real-time communication, robust type safety and exceptional user performance. What you'll be working on Building resilient real-time applications using React, strict TypeScript, Python, and WebSocketsDesigning server-side rendered (SSR) experiences with flawless hydration and state managementDeveloping scalable backend-for-frontend (BFF) services using asynchronous Python frameworksCreating reliable communication pipelines with strong validation and fault toleranceDriving engineering excellence through automated testing, code quality and CI/CD best practicesDeploying and operating containerised services using Docker and Kubernetes What we're looking for You'll have strong experience across modern full-stack engineering (Backend focussed), with particular expertise in: React and strict TypeScriptPython (FastAPI, asyncio, WebSockets)Building real-time, event-driven systemsServer-side rendering and hydrationAutomated testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright or Cypress)Docker and KubernetesDesigning maintainable, scalable software with a strong focus on performance and resilience Bonus points if you have experience with AI platforms or LLM integrationsHigh-throughput streaming architecturesPerformance optimisation and browser profilingEnterprise or regulated environments where reliability and security are critical
