AWS DevOps Engineer (Java)

AWS DevOps Engineer – Java We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join a highly technical engineering environment, supporting large-scale Java-based backend systems. You will work closely with software engineering teams to improve the reliability, scalability and performance of production services, with a strong focus on AWS, automation, observability and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Build, maintain and improve AWS-based infrastructureSupport and improve highly available Java backend applications and servicesAutomate infrastructure and operational processes to reduce manual toilTake end-to-end ownership of services in productionImprove system availability, scalability, performance and reliabilityImplement and enhance monitoring, alerting and observabilitySupport deployments and continuous delivery processesRespond to production incidents and perform root-cause analysisIdentify recurring reliability issues and implement long-term solutionsWork closely with Java development teams on system design and architecture Key Requirements Strong commercial AWS experienceGood experience working with Java-based backend applicationsPrevious experience as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, Cloud Engineer or similarStrong experience with automation and infrastructure managementExperience supporting large-scale production systemsStrong knowledge of monitoring, alerting and observabilityExperience with incident management and root-cause analysisUnderstanding of CI/CD and modern software delivery practicesGood understanding of scalable and resilient architecturesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills This is a great opportunity for an AWS-focused DevOps Engineer with experience working in Java backend environments to take ownership of highly available, business-critical systems.
