Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Design Engineer (Web & Brand) based in Canada. This is a remote opportunity for a highly creative Design Engineer who combines strong visual judgment with advanced frontend engineering skills. You will help shape compelling web and brand experiences that communicate a clear product story through both design and code. The role spans interactive interfaces, responsive websites, landing pages, animations, prototypes, and internal creative tools. You will work across Figma and web technologies to turn visual concepts into polished, production-ready experiences. Attention to interaction quality, performance, and small visual details will be central to your work. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving open-ended creative problems and pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved through code. Accountabilities Build complex, interactive UI experiences across web and application environments.Develop polished, responsive websites, landing pages, and internal tools that combine strong visual design with high-quality engineering.Create creative animations, transitions, interactions, and other dynamic experiences directly in code.Explore and develop visual concepts in Figma before translating them into web-native experiences.Contribute to creative initiatives spanning web, brand, product storytelling, and digital experiences.Translate creative ideas and prototypes into reliable, production-quality implementations.Use modern AI and agentic coding tools throughout the design process, from early exploration and experimentation through production implementation.Help maintain a high standard of visual quality, interaction design, craftsmanship, and technical execution across creative projects. Requirements Strong visual design sensibility and a well-developed eye for composition, typography, interaction, and overall digital aesthetics.Strong frontend engineering skills with the ability to build polished, interactive web experiences.Proven experience creating end-to-end websites and landing pages.Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.Experience using agentic coding tools as part of the design and development process, from exploring concepts to producing production-quality interactions.Ability to work comfortably across design and engineering, translating visual concepts into functional web experiences.Portfolio or professional profile demonstrating a broad range of technical capabilities, creative use of code, interaction design, and prototyping.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently take ownership of ambiguous creative and technical challenges.High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and craftsmanship.Ability to balance creative experimentation with reliable, maintainable implementation.
