About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevOps & Platform Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our platform and cloud environments. You will play a key role in the development and ongoing enhancement of our scalable, modern infrastructure, driving automation, observability, and standardization across our systems. Your expertise will help shape the platform strategy and translate it into practical implementations, ensuring our systems meet the highest standards of reliability and efficiency. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess several years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or operations engineering, with a strong background in Linux system administration and cloud infrastructure. You should have comprehensive knowledge of hosting environments such as Hetzner, AWS, or Azure, and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Infrastructure as Code practices. Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability solutions is essential, along with experience managing mission-critical systems. A structured, reliable, and solutions-oriented work approach is crucial, as well as enthusiasm for teamwork and technical responsibility. Additional skills include experience with containerization, security, and reliability concepts, as well as a basic understanding of data platforms and business intelligence tools, which are considered advantageous. Responsibilities Operate, administer, and continuously improve our hosting and cloud environments, including Linux-based production systems.Ensure high availability, stability, security, performance, and scalability of the platform.Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and implement Infrastructure-as-Code solutions to automate deployment processes.Manage monitoring, logging, alerting, and evolve our observability landscape to provide comprehensive insights into system health.Analyze incidents, perform root cause analyses, and implement measures for sustainable quality improvements.Contribute actively to the development of a modern, scalable platform architecture, including standardization and modernization efforts such as containerization.Participate in backup and disaster recovery planning, security standards, and compliance requirements.Collaborate closely with development teams and participate in architecture and strategic decision-making processes to ensure alignment with business goals.
