Software Engineer – Dynamics 365 / Power Platform Location: Canberra, ACT preferred Security clearance: Current Baseline Security Clearance required Project: Major Digital Portal Program We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join an established digital delivery team working on a significant customer-facing portal and regulatory services program. The successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing development and expansion of a modern digital platform designed to improve customer experience, streamline business processes, enhance data capability and enable more efficient delivery of regulatory services. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong full-stack developer with deep experience across Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform and modern web technologies to work within a collaborative, high-performing delivery environment. The Role You will work within a small, multidisciplinary project team, partnering closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects and delivery specialists. The role will involve designing and developing software solutions, producing high-quality and optimised code, contributing to technical design decisions and supporting strong engineering practices across the development team. You will also contribute to the quality, maintainability and functionality of the solutions delivered. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and enhance solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse and the Power Platform.Develop customer-facing solutions using Power Pages and modern front-end technologies.Build and maintain scalable front-end and back-end application components.Develop integrations between front-end applications, Dynamics 365, Dataverse and external services.Design and consume REST APIs and integrate cloud-based services.Develop solutions using C#, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS and SQL.Implement Azure and Power Platform integration technologies.Contribute to established application architectures, reusable development patterns and shared components.Produce clean, maintainable and optimised code.Participate in code reviews, testing and quality assurance activities.Support CI/CD pipelines, source control and release management practices.Analyse complex technical problems and develop practical solutions.Collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, designers, testers and other technical specialists.Provide technical guidance and contribute to continuous improvement across the development team. Essential Criteria Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Power PlatformDemonstrated experience developing solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse and the Power Platform, including Power Pages.Front-End DevelopmentStrong front-end development skills using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS, with experience using modern frameworks such as Vue.js.Full-Stack DevelopmentStrong full-stack development experience including C#, .NET, REST APIs, JSON and SQL, with demonstrated experience integrating front-end applications with backend services.Azure & Integration TechnologiesExperience with Azure and Power Platform integration technologies including technologies such as:Azure API ManagementAzure FunctionsLogic AppsPower AutomateDevelopment Architecture & DevOpsExperience working with established application architectures, development patterns and reusable components, including:Azure DevOpsSource controlCI/CD practicesCommunication & CollaborationStrong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with demonstrated experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary delivery teams.
