About The Role
As a Lead Full-stack Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain information systems in the agricultural sector for our Client, a European public sector organisation.
You will work across the full stack — Java and Spring back-end services with JPA persistence, and Angular front ends — and take technical ownership of the solutions you deliver, from architecture decisions through to deployment and long-term maintainability.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain full-stack features, covering Java and Spring back-end services and Angular front-end applicationsTake technical ownership of the solutions you deliver, including their performance, security, maintainability, and data integrity across the application and persistence layersWork with business analysts, fellow engineers, and stakeholders in the agricultural domain to turn requirements into working software, and support colleagues through code review and knowledge sharingImplement business logic and data access using Spring and JPA, and design and optimise the underlying data modelAnalyse, maintain, and evolve existing information systems, understanding current behaviour before changing it and preserving compatibility where requiredContribute to architecture decisions, including containerisation, cloud deployment, and build automationEnsure code quality through testing, code review, and adherence to the team's established conventionsProduce and maintain technical documentation for the components you deliver
Requirements
A university degree at master's level (or 5 years of higher education) with a minimum of 15 years of IT professional experience; or a degree at bachelor's level (or 3 years of higher education) with a minimum of 17 years; or a secondary degree giving access to higher education with a minimum of 22 yearsMandatory certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (SAA-C02) and Oracle Certified Web Component Developer (SCWCD/OCEJWCD)At least 13 years of experience with JavaAt least 9 years of experience with Spring and at least 11 years of experience with JPAAt least 8 years of experience with JavaScriptAt least 7 years of experience with AngularAt least 6 months of experience in the analysis, development, and maintenance of information systems in the agricultural sectorExperience with Docker, AWS, Jenkins, Prometheus, and Grafana is considered an assetVery good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, corresponding to Level B2 or higher (CEFR)
