About the Job
The Senior Developer / DevOps Engineer provides hands-on development capacity for key corporate applications, with an initial focus on AiGC’s Anti-Money Laundering compliance platform and other priority applications and automation opportunities.
The role combines application development, DevOps, cloud operational engineering, and controlled production delivery.
You will report to the Manager, Data Platforms and work with cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, legal, finance, vendors, and other technical and business stakeholders.

Who You Are
In the role as Senior Developer / DevOps Engineer, you will take solutions from concept, prototype, or off-the-shelf deployment into secure, sustained, automated, and audit-ready operation.
You will help establish infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, release controls, operational documentation, and responsible AI-assisted development practices.
About the Role
In this role you will own:
Application Development and Delivery
• Design, build, test, integrate, enhance, and support production applications and regulated data systems
• Engineer applications for secure configuration and secrets handling, health checks, structured logging, graceful failure, and supportability
• Translate business, compliance, security, and operational requirements into maintainable technical solutions
Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD
• Define application and platform infrastructure using Terraform and/or Bicep
• Bring existing undocumented infrastructure under code and make environments rebuildable from source
• Implement automated pipelines with build, test, approval, artifact, deployment, rollback, and drift-detection controls
Release Control and Audit Evidence
• Deliver production releases through controlled, gated cutover with validated configuration and proven rollback
• Maintain pipeline records showing what changed, when, by whom, under what approval, and with what result
• Support privacy, cybersecurity, audit, and regulatory readiness reviews through reliable engineering evidence
Operational Resilience and Knowledge Transfer
• Create runbooks, observability, alerting, and escalation paths for production applications
• Consolidate release and hotfix practices into documented, repeatable processes
• Reduce single-person dependency by enabling other team members to deploy, diagnose, support, and roll back systems
AI-Assisted Development Practice
• Use AI-assisted development deliberately with defined review, verification, privacy, security, and quality controls
• Review machine-generated changes to the same standards as human-authored code
• Help establish transferable practices that improve delivery throughput without increasing defects or incidents
What You Bring
Qualifications
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
• Progressive experience delivering and supporting production applications in cloud environments
• Strong application development skills, including secure configuration, secrets management, health checks, structured logging, testing, and graceful failure
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or Bicep and automated pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Knowledge of Azure identity and access, networking fundamentals, observability, operational support, and cloud cost awareness
• Strong Git and source-control discipline, including review, approval, artifact, and rollback practices
• Demonstrated ability to use AI-assisted development tools with sound delegation, verification, privacy, security, and quality controls
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience in regulated or audited environments preferred
• Familiarity with Databricks and SQL preferred
• Experience supporting AML, compliance, or other high-accountability corporate applications preferred
