The Role
We're looking for a Strong Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the Brisbane team as 2IC to the Principal Geotechnical Engineer, with a clear, supported pathway into a Principal role within 1β2 years.
This is a hands-on, technically demanding position combining detailed design leadership, mentoring of a developing team, and active site involvement.
It's been scoped for someone ready to step up β not a typical Senior, but an engineer with the depth and judgement to operate at Associate Principal level.
In your first 12 months, you'll independently lead geotechnical design across multiple concurrent projects, mentor 3β4 graduate-to-mid-level engineers, deliver IFC-quality reports and drawings with minimal rework, and build credibility with clients and contractors on site.
What you'll need
IEAust Chartered (CPEng) and/or RPEQ qualified~15 years' geotechnical engineering experience, with a track record leading detailed design on infrastructure projectsStrong design capability across foundations, retaining structures, slope stability, ground improvement and temporary worksSlope Risk Assessment to RMS Version 4 (hard requirement)Willingness to undertake site rotations of 1β3 weeksEligible to work in Australia β international candidates with the right technical fit will be considered, with visa sponsorship available
