We’re looking for an experienced Software Development Lead to join our Perth-based technology team and play a key role in shaping the development of modern, scalable software solutions across our organisation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll combine technical expertise, people leadership and architectural thinking to deliver high-quality software using the Microsoft technology ecosystem. What you’ll be doing Lead and mentor a team of software developers, fostering strong engineering practices and continuous improvement.Provide technical direction across software development projects and initiatives.Design and develop scalable applications using the Microsoft technology stack.Work closely with product, business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.Champion modern software engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, code quality and DevOps.Contribute to architectural decisions and establish development standards and patterns.Review code and provide technical guidance to the development team.Help drive the adoption of cloud technologies and modern engineering approaches.Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and developer productivity.Balance hands-on development with leadership, coaching and technical decision-making. The technology stack We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience across technologies such as: C# / .NET / ASP.NET CoreMicrosoft AzureAzure DevOps and CI/CDSQL Server / Azure SQLREST APIs and microservicesReact, Angular or modern JavaScript/TypeScriptGit and automated testingCloud-native and DevOps practices Experience with Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, containers, APIs and event-driven architectures would also be highly regarded. About you You’re an experienced software engineer who has developed into a technical leader and enjoys helping both people and technology succeed. You’ll bring: Significant commercial software development experience.Strong experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.Experience leading, mentoring or developing software engineering teams.A solid understanding of software architecture and design principles.Experience delivering solutions in Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform.Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.A pragmatic approach to technology — you know when to innovate and when to keep things simple.A passion for building quality software and developing high-performing engineering teams.
