This position is responsible for designing, building, and continuously improving customer-focused software products through hands-on development and strong engineering practice.
Collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Engineering colleagues, the Senior Software Engineer delivers high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions that create meaningful customer value, takes ownership of complex technical problems from concept through to production, contributes to architectural and technical decisions, and leads by example by mentoring others, improving development practices, and ensuring software is reliable, secure, and aligned with product goals.
Job Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or relevant equivalent including in software development Strong hands-on experience designing and developing applications using .NET technologies, with a focus on building efficient, scalable, and maintainable solutionsDemonstrated experience developing modern web applications using contemporary frontend technologies and frameworksProficiency with Microsoft software development technologies and tools, including .NET, MVC, Web API, Entity Framework, SQL, and related platformsExperience working with TypeScript and at least one modern frontend framework such as Svelte, Vue.js, Angular, or ReactSolid experience with automated testing practices, including unit testing frameworks (e.g.
Jest, Jasmine) and frontend/end-to-end testing tools (e.g.
Cypress, Playwright)Experience implementing, using, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for both frontend and .NET-based solutionsAbility to work effectively across a mixed-technology environment and contribute to integrations between systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute to solution design and assess technical trade-offsStrong database and data-modelling skills, with experience designing, querying, and optimising relational databasesProven experience working within agile teams and applying agile software development practices Exposure to infrastructure design concepts e.g.
