About The Role
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Release Management team in
Montreal.
In this role, you will serve as the dedicated point of coverage for managing and
coordinating production releases during EST business hours, ensuring timely release
execution and operational stability across our environments.
You will play a central role in release governance — planning, coordinating, and executing
production deployments while working closely with development, QA, and infrastructure
teams to minimize delivery risk and keep production activities running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate production releases end to end, including scheduling,
execution, validation, and rollback planning
Provide dedicated release coverage during EST business hours, acting as the
primary point of contact for release activities in the region
Maintain and enforce release governance processes, ensuring changes move to
production in a controlled, auditable manner
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support reliable, repeatable
deployments
Automate build, deployment, and operational tasks using Python and shell scripting Support and troubleshoot containerized workloads running on Docker and
Kubernetes
Apply SRE and production engineering practices: monitoring, alerting, incident
response, and post-incident review
Diagnose and resolve issues spanning application, network, and Linux
infrastructure layers
Collaborate with development and QA teams to improve deployment frequency,
reduce lead time, and lower change failure rates
Document release procedures, runbooks, and operational processes
Required Qualifications
4+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or production engineering roles Strong experience managing or coordinating production releases in an enterprise
environment
Proficiency with CI/CD tooling and pipeline design; hands-on experience with
GitHub and GitHub Actions (or comparable platforms)
Solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments Strong scripting skills in Python and shell (Bash) Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, firewalls,
TCP/IP)
Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tooling Ability to work on-site in Montreal 3 days per week and provide coverage during EST
business hours
