# DevOps Engineer — AppCloud Services ## About the Company Swisscom AG is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its AppCloud Services environment, working on cloud-native platforms and essential services with a strong focus on reliability, automation, innovation, and continuous improvement. ## About the Role As a DevOps Engineer, you will engineer, develop, operate, and continuously improve cloud-native platforms within an agile DevOps environment. You will work across cloud-native services, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, containers, networking, and Linux-based systems while contributing to incident management and operational reliability. The role combines technical ownership, automation, troubleshooting, and continuous platform improvement, with opportunities to work with modern cloud-native technologies. ## Key Responsibilities ### Cloud-Native Platform Engineering * Engineer, develop, operate, and continuously improve cloud-native platforms. * Develop and operate cloud-native services, tooling, and integrations. * Support reliable and stable operation of essential services. * Contribute to continuous improvement of platform capabilities and processes. ### CI/CD & Automation * Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines. * Develop and maintain cloud-native tooling and automation. * Improve software delivery processes through automation and efficient DevOps practices. ### Infrastructure & Troubleshooting * Perform root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging across containers, networking, and Linux-based systems. * Investigate complex infrastructure and platform issues. * Support reliable and efficient operation of cloud-native environments. ### Operations & Incident Management * Actively participate in incident management. * Participate in an on-call rotation. * Support change handling and operational activities. * Help maintain stable, reliable, and high-performing services. ## Required Qualifications * Strong experience with Linux. * Experience with cloud-native architectures. * Experience with container-based systems. * Strong understanding of automation. * Experience with CloudFoundry. * Experience with BOSH. * Experience with Elasticsearch. * Experience with MongoDB. * Experience with RabbitMQ. * Experience operating and developing cloud platforms at scale. * Experience debugging complex systems across networking and infrastructure layers. * Programming or scripting experience. * Excellent spoken and written English communication skills. ## Preferred Qualifications * Knowledge of Kubernetes. * Experience with Golang or Ruby. * German language skills. * Experience working with large-scale cloud platforms and cloud-native infrastructure. * Experience with automation, containerization, and modern DevOps tooling. ## Core Skills DevOps, Cloud-Native Platforms, Cloud Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Platforms, Linux, CloudFoundry, BOSH, Kubernetes, Containers, Containerization, CI/CD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Automation, Cloud-Native Services, Cloud Tooling, Cloud Integrations, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Networking, Infrastructure, Root Cause Analysis, Troubleshooting, Debugging, Incident Management, On-Call Operations, Change Management, Infrastructure Automation, Platform Engineering, Golang, Ruby, Agile DevOps. ## Work Location Bellinzona, Ticino, Switzerland — Remote.
