Role: GCP Cloud DevOps Engineer Type: B2B Contract Location; Krakow (Hybrid- 2 Days in a Week) Job Description: Role Overview The Cloud DevOps Engineer will work within an Agile team of engineers and operations personnel, building highly resilient, scalable, and high-performing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure through automation and efficient engineering practices. The role involves close collaboration with Application DevOps teams and cross-functional IT teams to deliver robust cloud solutions. Engineers are expected to demonstrate innovation, proactively explore new GCP products and services, and continuously improve platform performance and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Build and manage the GCP foundation platform to support application deployments.Engineer solutions on the GCP foundation platform using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies, such as Terraform.Integrate, configure, deploy, and manage centrally provided cloud services, including: Identity and Access Management (IAM)NetworkingLogging and MonitoringOperating SystemsContainer PlatformsEnsure compliance with centrally defined security standards and policies.Adhere to operational risk standards covering network security, firewalls, operating systems, logging, monitoring, availability, and resiliency.Maintain and update support and operational documentation as required.Ensure effective change management practices are implemented in accordance with organizational standards.Participate in a rotational on-call support model, providing out-of-hours support as part of a 24x7 operational coverage team. Required Skills & Experience Hands-on experience building and managing services within a cloud platform, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Expert understanding of DevOps principles and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.Strong knowledge of CI/CD methodologies and associated tools.Experience configuring Software Defined Networking (SDN) within cloud environments, including VPCs and Shared VPC/XPN.Strong understanding of security and compliance, including: IAMADFSOAuthCloud auditing, compliance, monitoring, and governance toolsProven ability to build effective working relationships with application teams, global and local IT teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.Strong programming or scripting skills in at least one of the following: PythonRubyJavaJavaScriptGoGroovyScalaDemonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement and implementing change successfully.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
