Azure DevOps Engineer

Job Description Kavaliro is seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer for our client with strong Microsoft Azure experience to help build, automate, and support secure, highly reliable cloud environments. This person will have a direct impact on how infrastructure is deployed and managed, with a strong focus on automation, CI/CD, scalability, and overall system performance. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across development and infrastructure teams and wants to play a meaningful role in improving cloud operations and engineering processes. Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually Location: San Francisco Bay Area – Hybrid preferred Work Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements. What You’ll Be Responsible For Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep Build and support scalable Azure environments, including Virtual Machines, AKS, App Services, and Azure Functions Establish and maintain effective monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such as Azure Monitor and Application Insights Apply cloud security best practices across identity, access management, networking, Key Vault, and other Azure services Partner closely with software engineering teams to improve deployment processes and make releases more efficient and predictable Identify opportunities to increase automation, improve reliability, and reduce cloud infrastructure costs What You’ll Bring Strong, hands-on experience designing and managing infrastructure in Microsoft Azure Proven experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Practical experience with Terraform; experience with ARM or Bicep is also valuable Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, ideally with experience supporting Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Strong scripting and automation abilities using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar technologies Solid understanding of Azure networking, security, identity, and access management, including Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) Additional Experience That Would Be a Plus Experience designing or supporting multi-region and highly available cloud architectures Exposure to DevSecOps practices and integrating security into development and deployment processes Relevant Azure certifications, particularly Azure DevOps Engineer Expert Experience with FinOps, cloud governance, or Azure cost optimization Why This Opportunity?
